As we look forward to the growing season of 2021, we herbies also look forward to sharing our love of growing herbs with our neighbors, friends, and community. One of the most rewarding ways our Memphis Herb Society has done this is with grants given to non-profits that will promote the cultivation and education of growing herbs. Some of those non-profits have been 4-H clubs, schools, churches, and soup kitchens!
If you should know of a non-profit organization that could use a little help, please let us and them know of this opportunity. Mentoring is part of what our society gladly offers.
The Memphis Herb Society is offering a grant in the amount of up to $250.00 for a project using herbs in beautification and education. Applications are available at the link below and should be submitted electronically to herbanrenewal.mhs@gmail.com. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2021. The grant will be awarded at the beginning of April in time for some serious gardening!
