November 9 Report:
Given bowls of dried flower heads and trays, work study participants took on the oh-so-exacting task of separating echinacea seeds from chaff. The seeds will be distributed in the spring at the Lichterman Seed Swap. Curator Sherri McCalla did a “show and smell” segment with fresh tarragon, rosemary, and other herbs from the garden. Sherri also offered everyone a variety of herbal teas to sample and provided a handout with lots of yummy recipes to try at home. Overall, it was a great learning experience in a lovely scent filled room! ~~ Suzanne Shown

Mark your calendar for our next work study on December 14th where we will continue working with seeds. Get details HERE!
