SOUTH INDIAN CUISINE WITH MANJIT KAUR
Manjit Kaur is a proud resident of Germantown for the past 13 years. Manjit was a former Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Research Scientist at Harvard Medical School, and a former Owner and Director of the Eye Level Learning Center in Collierville and Germantown. Manjit teaches at Madonna Learning Center and has been serving in various capacities at the city boards, commissions, clubs, nonprofit and charitable organizations in her dynamic leadership role. During unprecedented times of COVID-19, she remained actively involved in fundraising for different organizations, and her continuous efforts towards COVID-19 vaccination at Germantown Baptist Church were incredible.
Manjit holds a first degree black belt in Shotokan Martial Arts and enjoys painting, gardening, and wood-working. Manjit is very passionate about cooking and considers it to be a great stress relief. She has been an Instructor at the culinary college of Marlborough, MA, and did several cooking demos and TV shows and maintains a blog at https://zaikabharat.blogspot.com/.
Manjit plans to seek election in November for Germantown Alderman Position1. Manjit is a strong advocate for community service and always finding numerous ways to give back to her community.
