HERBAL SKIN CARE with Herbalist Julia Stowe, Owner of Blossom Arts

The skin is the body’s largest organ and performs functions vitally important to our health, yet, from an herbal healthcare point of view, the skin can get overlooked as we pay more attention to what we put into our bodies and give less thought to what we put on them. In this class we will look at the basics of herbal skincare, consider how to replace harsh chemical products with natural herbal remedies, and enjoy a luxurious herbal facial that will leave all skin types feeling and looking beautiful.  All students who wish to enjoy the facial will need a small amount of honey, a favorite carrier oil (such as sweet almond or jojoba oil), fresh rose petals, and lavender essential oil.

Julia Stowe has been studying the art of herbalism for ten years. As a graduate of Vintage Remedies in Franklin, TN and the East West School of Planetary Herbology in Ben Lomond, CA, she has learned that herbalism is a way of life, not a quick fix treatment plan. Since 2015 she has been teaching seasonal classes and workshops focusing on wildcrafing, basic remedy making, and the use of herbs preventatively to support a healthy lifestyle.
